Taiwan MOE Youth Delegates: Bridging Cultures Through U.S. Exchange in Philadelphia & D.C.

Led by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education, To the Moon Art Charity founder Valerie Yen was one of five youth delegates selected to participate in a 17-day exchange program in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. The program featured discussions on AI education at the Wharton School, visits to city government offices and business chambers, UN peacekeeping debates and crisis simulations, and cultural exchanges with orchestras and museums.

Through this journey, Valerie demonstrated her growth as a:

Cross-disciplinary thinker: Integrating technology, art, and public issues to explore innovative solutions.

Innovative problem-solver: Experimenting with creative approaches in diplomacy and global challenge simulations.

Practical implementer: Turning theory into action through exchanges on urban development and entrepreneurship.

Collaborative leader: Strengthening teamwork and communication across diverse cultural settings.

Global citizen: Deepening her understanding of global governance and cultural diplomacy.

Titled “Dream to Action: Inspiring Youth Leadership,” this initiative documents Valerie Yen’s participation in the global leadership program and her reflections on redefining leadership, practicing diplomacy, and transforming ideas into concrete impact. Through sharing her experiences, To the Moon Art Charity seeks to inspire young people worldwide to embrace creativity, empathy, and collaboration as powerful forces for building a more sustainable and compassionate future.
