A Self-Created Picture Book for Dementia Awareness--Mama! I Don't Want to Leave!

Valerie Yen, founder of To the Moon Art Charity, created the picture book Mama! I Don’t Want to Leave! inspired by her experiences with a family member’s cognitive impairment. Through partnerships with organizations like the Shilin Bread of Life Christian Church Social Welfare Development Association, the Taiwan Alzheimer’s Disease Association, and the Eslite Culture Foundation, the project donates books to schools, daycare centers, senior colleges, and community hubs across Taiwan. Included in the National Central Library collection, the book has reached hundreds of nonprofit organizations, spreading warmth and fostering emotional support in communities
